Chiba Prefecture is known for many things, including its large seaside areas and the beautiful beaches.  But there is another specialty that Chiba Prefecture is known for - peanuts.
Chiba is famous for its peanuts, but you may not know that the city's main peanut processing company, Chiba Peanuts Corporation, is located just outside the city of Sawara.
It's  a special snack from Chiba Prefecture, it's delicious and unique!Â
I just noticed lot of peanuts goods are displayed in the shops around Narita. I even got a stamp with a peanut symbol from Tokyo Station. As a matter of fact, Chiba is the largest producer of peanuts in Japan, accounting for 78% of production in the country.
  
  
While peanuts are delicious as is when boiled or roasted, there are also some interesting flavor variations in Chiba, As for me, I love  "SPY x FAMILY Peanut Monaka " with the motif of " SPY x FAMILY " available at some retail stores such as NewDays mainly in the Chiba area.
